Just finished watching THE MONUMENTS MEN. The movie started off really slow and boring, but I must say that by the 38th minute, it decelerated quite a bit. It really annoyed me because this is a great story that needs to be told. Matt Damon, John Goodman and Bill Murray should regret they were associated with this disappointment. But George Clooney has to be sorry he put his name on this one. I am sorry for wasting my $8.00 but I am mostly angry that such a great (true) store will never be illuminated because of this anticlimactic waste of two hours. Shame on you George. Boring to the point that at one scene a character states “All hell is breaking loose over here” as he sits back and enjoys a smoke and others stroll by nonchalantly. Reminds me of an old sermon note I once read that said “Weak point, pound the pulpit now”. For those of you who have yet to see The Monuments Men, may I recommend Dallas Buyers Club or Philomena? That is all.
