Just finished watching The Way Way Back and this movie is brilliant. Its a coming-of-age film, and a comedy, and it has heart, and a particular thing I like to call the movie-magic (which is a feeling I get when I know I will cherish a movie). This film has got an AWESOME cast, and its story is great too. This is the first movie in which Ive seen Steve Carell play a total asshole, and hes great at the role. Other great performances were, of course, Sam Rockwell who steals the scenes hes in, and Toni Collette who plays the mother of the lead character of the movie. All in all Id watch this again and again. I rented it, but Ill look to own this movie come my next pay-day. This film made me feel good about myself; not because it was a happy story, because it has its drama, but because I could relate to the main characters plight of being an awkward loner of a kid. I loved this movie, and other people need to see this.
