Just finished watching an AMAZINGLY thought provoking Iranian movie with Hamid about how we compose our individual and group identities, values, and sense of justice on both a micro and macro scale. Truly impressed by the quality of framing by these different field experts, and the general variety and depth of opinions we can have on such a seemingly simple subject as a boy interrupting a class by incessantly tapping his pencil. I just sat there the entire time thinking about how many academic themes and topics from my major and peacebuilding courses were expressed here, and how great it would to use this film as a resource. As a teacher now, I also totally feel caught between the many different perceptions having sat on both sides of the fence, which was interesting to interpret. Its only a 45 minute long movie, but I highly recommend sitting down and having a discussion of your own. One of the best movies Ive watched in a while. vimeo/79940920
