Just finished watching the closing ceremonies of the 2013 World Pipe Band Championships courtesy of BBC Scotland live streaming. It was certainly impressive with well over 100 pipe bands and almost 8000 pipers and drummers taking part. The results were a little disappointing as my favourite the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band came in 4th. I had high hope for these guys and gals from BC who are 6 time World Champions.
