Just for the record - this years Nightmare on Third Street Haunted House was a record breaker! A total of 3061 people went through the haunted house raising $18,366. Proceeds from the haunted house project go directly to the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) and Great (Gang Resistance Education and Training) Programs conducted by the Ottumwa Police Department in our local schools. The Police Department would like to thank the many volunteers who donated their time and efforts to the haunted house. A special thank you goes out to three volunteers who worked countless hours designing and building the haunted house - Deb Randolph, Nancy Morrow and Brian Bennett.
