Just for the record. I think its completely....well lets just say I disagree with the state requiring an associates degree to be licensed on the CCEMTP level. Im well aware of the importance of education and I do see the logic in the programs becoming degreed programs. However, there are still some of us around that went through when it was only a certificate program. There are some us who are unable to return to school to complete a degree. And PLEASE hold all the comments about how you can do distance learning, and online classes and the like. It still doesnt help some of us. Maybe its my own fault for not preparing for my future academically, but 18 years ago was a long time ago. My point being is that this certification has been a long time coming regarding local accessibility, and to have a degree requirement affectively freezes out a large number of us that have been waiting along time for this class to be offered locally. Dont punish us because our certs are older than your associates degree.
