Just found this wonderful group, that promotes the rights of animal owners, farmers, and stockmen from animal rights extremist laws and illegal searches of property. When I started homesteading and raising animals, I never thought I would need social protection from animal rights people - I thought they would support an alternative to factory farming. That was not the case. By being public and outspoken about free-range meat, raising your own meat, and the importance of grass-fed animal protein for a better environment and better soils - I am often attacked online and threatened to have animals rescued from me. I have had animals stolen from my property. I have had the animal control office called on me. And in all cases nothing was wrong, all animals were well and fine, and all laws were followed. But in a world constantly confusing cartoon animals and pets with the real world of ethical food production and REAL animal welfare.... groups like this are needed. I am joining.
