Just four days ago we cautioned that the Lee County Clerks foolish decision to defy the federal court order, once the stay expires, invites having to defend an unwinnable lawsuit that Lee County residents will have to pay for. Well, not only will the Clerks office have to hire counsel to defend the suit, but it will also end up probably having to pay the attorneys who _bring_ the suit(s). Its already happening around the country, as the news item below shows. Frankly, we are sick to death of of all this ridiculous footdragging and defense of institutionalized bigotry. Who knows? Maybe well have to sue the Clerk ourselves. Happy weekend!
