Just give us our money, Sir! Blackfeet Dispossessed Heirs in the Pre-1966 Indian Money Damage Claims are owed $300 million dollars and their allotted lands, oil wells, and cattle industry robbed by whites in complicity with the BIA! Forrest Gerard BIA Director told the senators in 1979, A great majority of the thousands of Indian claimants are heirs of deceased allottees or trust patentees. We are unable to locate many of them. The United States, of course, has a [trust] responsibility to them [heirs] just as much as it does to recognized tribes, bands, or groups. The title issues in these claims are not subject to the statute of limitations as are the tort issues. It would seem to be a tribal council trust responsibility to help us organize the Blackfeet Heirs as the heirs are all of the Blackfeet people who are related to the original allottees and that is literally thousands of us and 529,000 acres of allotted lands and $300 million dollars in just compensation for loss of revenues, and restoring Blackfeet title to heirs. This claim includes all Blackfeet regardless of blood quantum or tribal enrollment restrictions. As Forrest Gerard said in 1979, We, the Dispossessed Heirs have the same federal recognition as the Blackfeet Tribe or enrolled members, we are us. We really need to find ourselves as the BIA excuse is that we cannot be found. Let us start a Blackfeet Dispossessed Heirship Registry so we can get statistics on how many of us are eligible claimants to Blackfeet Claims. I need help on the reservation to sign up people for the Blackfeet claims. Then we can present a unified request for funding to carry out the process to request the restoration of our family allotments on the Blackfeet Reservation. Any ideas? The tribal elections are coming in June, so politicians are campaigning. Bob Juneau
