It seems that plenty of people are happy to pay for faster internet speeds, yet the report said nobody needs more than 15Mbps? -------------------- Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) research that appear to contradict a government report that says Australians don’t need more than 15 megabits per second (Mbps). More than 2 million Australians had internet access faster than 24Mbps per second in June, the ABS found. A government-funded cost-benefit analysis of the national broadband network led by Michael Vertigan predicted most people would only require 15Mbps in 2023. The analysis estimated only 5 per cent of people would be willing to pay for 43Mbps or more. NBN Co released research into the habits of people on the national broadband network. The average download speed ordered on the NBN is 34Mbps.
