Just got a call from Mr Fama. He said he is personally calling all 8th graders who are scheduled to take the regents tomorrow to let them know 8th graders will NOT be going to the HS as originally planned to take the regents. Instead they will take the regular JFK bus to school, will take the Regents in JFK and then spend the rest of the day in school or can be picked up by their parents at 11:15 when test is over. No idea why this change was made or how they will accommodate this testing without bells going off and kids making noise in hallways. Wish I thought to ask these questions before I hung up with Mr Fama. I was a little shocked when I picked up the phone, expecting a connect ed and got him!!! Now my 8th grader is stressing out over how this test will go. Anyone else speak to him and can get some more info, it would be greatly appreciated!!!
