Just got a call from local painter/artist Java Lewis The Painter Man, and he wants me to participate in his art show at Carver Theater on April 11th. We met accidentally last year as I was leaving ArtWalk, slightly disgusted that I kept missing the submission opportunity year after year so I didnt have a booth. With my Yogi Dada Earrings strapped to my back on a wood screen with a plastic cover (so people could see my work as I strolled the festival), I was heading back to my car and passed this gentlemen sitting on a painters briefcase tucked away from the crowds displaying incredible paintings. I spoke and he said, Whatcha got there? I showed him my work and he said, Youve REALLY got something there sister! He was so encouraging and kept saying, Youve REALLy got something there! LOL What a blessing to be remembered over a year later for my work and to have made impression enough that he would want to share his space with me. Maybe it wasnt an accident after all. ;-)
