Just got a call from my brotha Shawn Klush! Always look forward to hearing from him. He had me about rolling on the floor laughing. Yet we reminisced a little about singing on Elvis stage at the Hilton Hotel. My first tine was 2010. I broke down when I stepped off that stage into Nereidas arms that day. It was so moving to know not only did Elvis perform there, but my mama saw him there about 8 times. She never got to see me do the ETA thing, I was just wishing she could have been in the audience to see me like she saw Elvis. :-( But I guess you could say she really had the best seat in the house in heaven. I remember being backstage with shawn and at that time I was going through some tough stuff in this ETA world. I told Shawn I was going to quit and give up doing the ETA thing because I didnt like some of the things I was hearing and seeing. Needless to say shawn pulled me to the side and not only gave me a scolding, but also showed me the love, compassion and understanding from his heart. Shawn encouraged me to stay strong and not give up. He said you have a lot of people and fans out there that love and respect you and Im one of them. It wouldnt be fair to them to quit. I want people to know Shawn Klush is more than just a great tribute artist. Hes a man and close friend with a big loving heart. I will always cherish his and my sissy Nereida Balan Howe for there help in keeping me in this business! I love all my Elvis family and thank all of you for support! God bless you all.
