Just got a message supposedly from Yahoo telling me there had been incidents on the internet lately and recommending that I update my Yahoo account. They even gave me a handy link so I could do it immediately. However, mousing over the link indicated that it did not connect to Yahoo. Its a phishing attempt, folks. For those of you with Yahoo emails, do not be fooled into clicking that link. If you update your yahoo account on a false yahoo site, you will get burned so bad. Most of you will probably recognize a phishing attempt when you see it, but just in case it looks official, dont fall for it. In fact, you all know better than to ever click on a link when some organization tells you to do so and then asks for an update or any kind of personal information. Identity thieves like the ones putting out this message send them to millions of people, and probably 99% of us are wise to these tricks, but if this warning saves even one of my FB friends from falling victim, then it was worth it. We now return you to the usual FB inanities, as opposed to my FB inanities. :)
