Just got a nice visit from two well dressed men representing some Milwaukee church who felt the need to tell me that I am damned to a life of eternal hell. Jesus Christ almighty, they dont even know me and who made them my judge? Dear religion, your timelines are really messed up. Couldnt you have had a mathematics expert in on your first think tank meetings? Or at least an astronomer? I see you had no shortage of creative writers. Why does faith mean ignoring mathematics and scientific fact? Im not saying God doesnt exist, but even he/she might be ashamed of the plausibility of some of the historical benchmarks and references. There is wondrous magnificence in life and creation and tying that majesty to a number of childrens fables and life lessons seems such a moronic and manipulative disservice. Threats of damnation dont seem to carry the love your brother as God loves you theme either. And that donation thing......my Bible says give unto Caesar what is his (money) and give unto God what is his (belief/faith/love) so why are we prostituting Gods favor? Dude, life took such precise and exact sequencing to become a thing. How about thanking God for that? Faith shouldnt mean disregarding known facts. Ill go say my ten Hail Marys for my Facebook blaspheme and Ill suffer in conscious guilt and fear of damnation til my dying breath. Yay for fear-mongering.
