Just got added to the group a few days ago and just now getting the chance to introduce my girl Odyssa to the group! She will be six years old in December and is the absolute love of my life. She was oringally suppose to be a Christmas present for my mom but I guess Odyssa had other plans. Shes my little sidekick. Where ever Im at, shes there:) Two summers ago she had a back injury that left her paralyzed for almost a year. When that happened, I seriously thought I was going to loose my girl. I couldnt afford the back surgery and didnt know if there was anyway I could help her. But I didnt give up. I took her to the vet, got her medicine for her pain and just hoped for the best. I would massage her back everyday, stay up with her throughout the night because she would be in such pain but thankfully her pain medicine did help her. She finally got over the back spasms and pain so we started swimming lessons in the tub. She hated them but it helped her. After months and months of doing everything I could think of to help her, she finally started using her legs again. Not even close to walking 100% perfect but just seeing her get up on her legs would make me cry. It has been a little over two years now and I can happily say that my girl can use her legs like no other! Its not perfect but I know shes happy. She plays outside, rips it around the house as best as she can and definitely keeps up with me now! She has come so far and Im just very blessed to have her here with me still
