Just got an OFFICIAL statement from Sulphur Springs Police Chief - TopicsExpress

Just got an OFFICIAL statement from Sulphur Springs Police Chief Jay Sanders that Walmart had been re-opened at 1:50 a.m., following two sweeps by officers through the entire building. Officers were called to the scene at approximately 10:00 p.m. when a white male drove to the northwest entrance of the building and a customer notified an employee of Walmart that they had seen the man exit the truck with a gun and enter the store. Security tape revealed the man entering the store, going through the clothing department, but because of some malfunctions with a camera they could not tell where he went from there. It was suspected that he possibly left the store through the general merchandise doors, before officers even arrived on the scene. The suspect has been identified and a warrant for his arrest is being prepared at the present and once it is signed, possibly by a judge in the morning, the name of the suspect will be released. Thank you SSPD, HCSO, and DPS officers for a peaceful ending to this crisis, with no injuries to anyone!
