Just got an email this morning from Subways customer care team in reply to my email about the recent Muslim pork ban story that was recently going around simply entitled Absolutely nothing has changed, bacon and ham aren’t going anywhere! It follows: Dear Customer, Thanks for taking the time to write. Absolutely nothing has changed, bacon and ham aren’t going anywhere. Customers have many choices as to which store they want to visit since there are over 1700 SUBWAY® stores in the UK and Ireland. The small proportion of Halal specific menu stores that carry Halal-approved turkey-based ham and bacon, have been around since 2007. Thanks Again, Amazing. Just goes to show that if you choose to hunt out the truth behind a so called story and get the information from a reliably informed source, instead of believing whatever utter thoughtless bigotted drivel bilged from the right wing tabloids, wed have far less problems in this country. Now, if only I could have done this with an issue that actually had any importance, like unemployment or poverty, or something... #Subway
