Just got back from Illuxcon. It was so great getting a chance to meet some of you, talk with my fellow artists, and look at so many incredible paintings. But I think for the benefit of my fellow artists and some of the collectors I now know, I should say something: I will not sell any paintings, drawings, cards, or even prints to Dan Chang again. That he made re-sale offers on my paintings (for over twice what I was selling them for) before he had purchased them rubs me the wrong way. Lord knows I am fine with being a businessman and making money. But there are lines you do not cross. And he has. I neither ask nor expect my fellow artists to follow suit. But I wanted to let people know all the same. It was great getting to meet some of you and I look forward to being a more active part of the original-painting market as I do more of them. And for the record, I have no issue with any of you re-selling my work. That is not the issue here. I understand that paintings come and go and will change hands over their lifetime. But at least own it before you sell it off. Thanks, yall.
