Just got back from Richmond, a little while ago. Christine and I - TopicsExpress

Just got back from Richmond, a little while ago. Christine and I decided to take my sister-in-law Sara for her first wine tastings Friday. We went to 4 Nelson County wineries yesterday, fun and educational for Sara. Today, we were hoping for brighter, dryer weather but, no such luck?! We went to Richmond to visit the Virginia Museum of Fine Art. This place has some well known artists pieces. We re talking Andy Warhol, Vincent VanGogh, Picassos, Salvador Dali, lots of the oldies but greats. Of course it would rain, stop, rain again, slow down, rain more, sort of dampering any outdoor plans that came to mind. We ate at Olive Garden, good Italian eats, good bread, salad, and I had Italian Sausage and Peppers on pasta, good and filling! Since it was raining on and off, we browsed a couple stores in the area then headed home. Ive got to say, the stretch between Richmond to C-ville is long, but worth it once you re done. We who live in a small city don t realise how calm and slowed down we are! You take Richmond, big city to us, faster driving, rough in some areas, thanks to our gps! That device has saved me from feeling lost many times, Im not worried about going anywhere with it. Then again, Im not too proud to go in and ask directions if Im lost, I need help I ll ask for it. Later All and be safe!
