Just got back from Straßbourg, France... There and back on half a tank of gas! Enjoyed some Vin chaud Maison aka Glüwein aka hot house wine. Some focaccia pizza bread, Belgian chocolates, soup made by a French guest chef (had a couple of those, they were yummy), then enjoyed dinner at a quaint little place where I had tasty escargots (snails), steak and cheesy potatoes :) The trams (that were supposed to take us back to our car) were down at night due to strike (thanks to the lovely French lady who told us instead of letting us wait there like dummies) so we walked a good 20 minutes til we found a cab to take us the rest of the way. When our cab driver asked if we were from Les États-Unis I responded Oui, Chicago (my go-to being most Europeans have never heard of Kenosha or Lake County lol) and he said Bienvenue à Straßbourg! I love love love France. Everyone is so nice and its so fun to be able to practice my French. I need to take more day trips lol.
