Just got back from a local collectibles show with a copy of: Captain Atom #82. Cap and Nightshade ask, How Do You Catch A Ghost? Adventure Comics #416. Vortex is kidnapping the skyscraper... and Supergirl is helpless to stop him! The rent is that high, huh? Captain Action #5. Destroy Captain Action... And America Is Ours For The Taking!! The final issue and Cap is finally out of action. Conan The Barbarian #11: The Talons Of... Thak! Thak needs to see a manicurist. Conan The Barbarian #13: Web Of The Spider-God! Well, this is a Marvel Comic. Conan The Barbarian #19: Hawks From The Sea! Too bad the fighting is on land. Giant-Size Avengers #3: Thor! Iron Man! It is fated that in this nameless place, one of us three shall die! Aye! But-- who shall it be? WHO? Death in a Marvel Comic?!? The Incredible Hulk #166: It! The Thing From The Dynamo! The Incredible Hulk #168: You hurt Hulk -- with rays! You let Hulk go, or else -- Brainless brute! If I drop you, youre finished! Either way, you dont stand a chance against -- The Harpy! Modok and Steve Englehart give Betty Ross an extreme makeover! The Incredible Hulk #172: Side By Side With The Deadly, Invincible Juggernaut! Theyre Smashing Out -- And Nothing Can Stop Them! Hulks musings scripted by Tony Isabella and soldiers screams lettered by Alan Kupperberg. Jungle Action #4: Tharn! The Lord Of The Jungle Strikes Back! Tharn used to be named Lo-Zar and has kept a low profile ever since TChalla took over the title. Jungle Action is a Marvel Comic book title second only to Giant-Size Man-Thing in unintentional hilarity. The Mighty Thor #132: Where Gods May Fear To Tread! The God of Thunder speaks softly and carries a big Mjolnir! The Mighty Thor #143. Balder The Brave and Sif join Thor against the Evil Enchanters and panic in the city! This is one of the first Thor stories I ever read when it was reprinted in Origins Of Marvel Comics. Kid Colt Outlaw #118: The Scorpion, Bull Barton, and Doctor Danger are three of the Kids most deadly enemies... all waiting to get their revenge on him here in the chain gang! One wonders if this Scorpion was related to Mac Gargan and if Bull Barton is the ancestor of Hawkeye the Marksman. Where Monsters Dwell #23: Its -- him!! He knows Im here!! Hell never stop till he finds me! He sees me!! Oh--no!! NO! The Monster found him by following his word balloons! X-Men #106: The Angel is back! And hes come to murder the New X-Men with their own leaders deadly eye blast! Dark Shroud Of The Past! A fill-in issue by Chris Claremont and drawn by Bob Brown (fondly remembered by me for his run on Challengers Of The Unknown, Superboy, Avengers, and Daredevil). X-Men #146. Guess who wins against Murderworld? Guess who has enough to pay for admission! Chris Claremont, Dave Cockrum, Josef Rubinsteinn, Tom Orzechowskii, Glynis Wein, and Louise Jones want to know! T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents #2: The Greatest Fight Of All Time! Dynamo Battles A Foe Who Is More Than His Match... DYNAVAC! Len Brown knows the best way to deal with a brick wall is with... his own head!
