Just got back from a quick three-day trip to Yellowstone. We saw elk and bison, and moose, and a great blue heron, and peered into an Osprey nest while they were feeding their juvenile. We saw a reasonably rare eruption of a geyser (Vixen geyser), Old Faithful, hiked around geothermal pools, the largest freshwater lake above 7,000 feet in North America, the Yellowstone Grand Canyon and the upper and lower falls, and miles and miles of pristine meadows and rivers and mountains, boiling water from geysers pouring into rivers, and thousands and thousands of new-growth pine trees as the park recovers from fires and blight. Just gorgeous and refreshing.
