Just got back from the Doggie ER. Pickles went out with David on her leash about 2 hours ago. She ran to the right and the cord to the leash was up against the birdbath which then fell over on her leg. Oh my God I could hear the terrible scream from the kitchen. You could see right away her back, right leg was broken. Off to the ER with us both in a state along with Pickles. Got right in and she will need surgery Monday at some specialty clinic called Blue Pearl in Blaine. They are specialty pet surgeons. Right now she is still there. They are putting on a temp splint and cast to make it thru till Monday. I have to get a referral Monday morning from our vet at Plymouth Heights Pet. Also, called and made sure the Pet Insurance from Pet Plan was in effect and is. The ER vet is about $800 and dont know what the surgery will be? I will send updates via Facebook as we proceed along. Please send prayers to my little pet as she is like my little baby. Love ya all.
