Just got back from the MAA picnic.. seemed we were overrun with class of 1971 peepsters.. Mary Upton or Aboud, Fran Bailey, June Davis.. but class of 72 was well represented.. oh and some others.. The Board did a great job.. it was an excellent feed. I had the opportunity to meet Ceal Tobias Class of 2006 and our newest MAA member.. someone from Wausau Wisconsin twisted her arm.. Ceal had her significant other.. God help me to remember the great guys name?? omg .. Kudos to Fran Bailey and June Davis all the way from California. Charlotte Miller came down from Michigan... with her guy.. a four hour drive.. John Anderson.. got help me .. what class is John in?? Will from class of 2014. I dont know Wills last name.. Thomas Lukas Vice President was in attendance. Robbie and Rick Billadeau.. God help my feeble brain remember the spelling. Kevin Kaminsky Class of 1064 (joke). Ted Norton and his beautiful wife and grand son were in attendance. Nancy Norton the ole MAA trusty person on the scene. David Petoskey.. another unsung hero and who coordinated much of the cook out Kudos to David for a great job!! Mark LaRosa one of our amazing directors.. just hustling to put this wonderful picnic on and lets not forget Sherrie Hammond LaRosa our President.. who came.. despite a heavy personal schedule today..Gary Urweiler stopped by and greeted us.. it was amazing.. his son Zach was in attendance also. Chuck Satterlee amazing coach and team owner.. and great kids mentor.. came.. great to finally meet you Chuck.. Joyce Davis was here with her partner.. what a joy to see Joyce. I believe she was here all the way from Florida. I may be wrong. Jeff Szymczak stooped by.. He is head of Mooseheart education. John Fusek.. the old stand by.. and step up and do all things wonderful was there.. Our past President Dick Wuchte and his wife.. I believe her name is Karen were present.. What a joy to spend some time talking with them.. Chris Schwartz Class of 2014 stopped by for a few minutes to pick Will up. Omg I forgot.. I was in attendance... Sandi Aurand Bosch Class of 1974. My daughter Torie was present as was Obed and Dani International students that our family has adopted.. John reviewed some exciting things going on with the MAA. He talked about an MAA mentoring program called a Slice of Life which Im sure will be elaborated upon at a later time. June Davis and Fran Bailey were my highlights of the picnic.. June Davis is about the funniest girl.. to come out of MH.. omg .. had to check the blue sticker on my depends a couple of times ... so funny.. Oh yes.. Ms. Hammond... Sherries mom and Marks mom-in-law was there.. looking great and spiffy!! I got my hug. It was nice to see her!! Dave Petosky thought there were well over 40 plus people in attendance. The MAA continues to build a stronger more effective organization to meet the needs of the members. I dont think there was a decade that was missed .. well maybe the 50s.. I continue to be impressed by the dedication of this board.. I am personally thankful that Richard E Wuchte and his wife were present.. I am also so taken back by the efforts of David Petoskey... This picnic was a success because we came together... It took place on the pavilion with a grill there... Mark LaRosa made hamburgers and hot dogs.. Dave Petoskey helped.. everyone brought something.. and no one went home hungry unless they were fasting.. the community spirit was unbelievable.. what a great time to be an MAA member!! well.. guess Im done for now.. We had a wonderful time.. well worth the five hour drive.. .. Thanks to all and Kudos to the Board again!!
