Just got back from the Tea Party Meeting at the Vassar Public Library. I managed to ask a question to Tamrya Murray before being shouted down. I asked her about an article on the Anti-Defamation League website regarding her involvement as a liaison/public speaker for U.S., Inc., a Michigan-based extreme anti-immigrant umbrella organization founded by racist John Tanton. She asked me where did I get that information, from the HATE group, the Southern Poverty Law Center? I said no, I told you I got the information from the ADL - Anti-Defamation League. I told her its funny that she calls the groups that TRACK the hate groups, HATE GROUPS themselves, talk about double speak! I then told her if she wasnt going to answer my question, I would leave. City Council Dan Surgent did tell them to let me speak but Ms. Murray wasnt having it. As I left, Vassar School Board Candidate Lou Smallwood chased me out and told me, I DONT EVER WANT TO SEE YOU HERE AGAIN!, and tried to push me with his chest. I dont him he was a punk, and a Police Office showed up. Smallwood told the office that I threatened him online and that he wanted to make a Police report (good luck finding THAT threat because there isnt one). I was leaving anyway but at least I said my peace.
