Just got back from the match, positives and negatives to take. Ill give my player ratings: Krul - 5 - He was eager to get attacks going but I can hardly remember a save he made, couldve stopped the first and certainly the second goals. Janmaat - 7 - Again our best player going forward and a good goal, makes good runs and is dependable at the back. Colo - 7 - Classy on the ball but hes missing Tiote in front of him imo, dont really think he or Willo were at fault for any of the goals. Willo - 7 - Same as usual for Willo, he was solid nothing fancy and got his first goal. Haidara - 6 - Has a cracking left foot for crossing and when Aarons came on they troubled Palace immensely down the left but a bit suspect at the back. Sissoko - 4 - I always stick up for Sissoko but today he was awful. He definitely isnt a CDM as he is too lazy and isnt tactically aware, we need Tiote back. He had chances to drive at defenders but didnt, have to play him further forward or not at all imo. Colback - 6 - wasnt as effective as in previous games, probably due to the fact he had Sissoko next to him in fairness. Cant wait to see this guy and Tiote together, were really missing him. Cabella - 5 - Lets face it hes no Ben Arfa! He has the skill but not the power to beat anyone and his end product is woeful most of the time, his corners were poor until we scored from the decent one, needs to hit the gym. De Jong - 5 - With a defensive striker in front of him and poor service form Cabella and Gouffran Siem was very isolated, he looked clever but no one was working with him. Gouffs - 5 - Yawn, Gouffs was same as usual didnt really supply much attacking threat and we looked a lot more dangerous when he was replaced by Aarons though less defensively safe. Rivière - 4 - Ive stuck up for him so far but in 4 games he hadnt come close to scoring and doesnt seem to have any goal scoring instinct, every time he gets the ball his back is to goal. Would like to see another striker start tbh. Perez - 5 - another good cameo but introduced too late, would like him to start next game. Anita - 6 - was sound enough until minute 97, why was he marking a big lad in fact why was he marking anyone at all? Hed get overpowered playing in the development squad and cant handle teams like Palace, fact. Aarons - 8 - the main reason Im not depressed after not beating Palace. Came on and ran at players, scored from a corner wtf?! He almost scored from 2 crosses one of which resulted in Willos goal. Unfortunately he didnt really track back at the end but he is special talent. Imagine him and Sterling on the wings for England... All in all a disappointing result but plenty of optimism, we need to win our next game mind! Shaun
