Just got back from the second night of the Oiwi Film Festival. - TopicsExpress

Just got back from the second night of the Oiwi Film Festival. Watched a movie about Cyril Pahinui and other musicians who are carrying on the traditions, such as Peter Moon Jr. and others. Im kinda sad that not much people attended, and that there arent more local film makers who make movies to share their art. Anyhow, I hope tomorrow some of you come to watch Kalo Culture. I know many people dont like me, and thats ok. Im not running a popularity contest or trying to be liked because Im trying to sell you something. I am what I am, at least Im straight forward and honest, or at least I try to be. I dont go around trying to intentionally hurt others. I do speak my mind and stand up for people who I think are being taken advantage of, or people who are not being treated fairly. I hope some of you can put your dislike of me aside and come watch my movie. This movie isnt about me. Its about our home, and the people whos lives are being threatened by progress. This movie is about your fellow man, your neighbor, our past, and traditions that are slowly disappearing. Please come and see it tomorrow. If you dont like me then you dont need to talk to me or look at me. But do yourself a favor and come see it. Youll be glad you did. I know that Ill be happy to see it, because I really need to put some things into perspective right now at this point in my life.
