Just got back from watching The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 in Cineplex UVX. Just like the first two installments in this series the movie is done extremely well and goes along with the books perfectly considering they only have 2-2.5 hours to wrap it up. Im really glad they decided to split the last book into 2 movies since there is a ton of material to cover in order to set up the finale. This portion of the story is much more concerned with the characters and politics thus far. The action is toned down compared to the previous movies but considering the ridiculous shit that happens in the later parts of the 3rd book itll be worth the wait. One thing I was concerned about was the fact that Seymour Phillip Hoffman died during filming. That being said, it doesnt feel like hes lacking in presence during the film. They pulled it off really well. I dunno whats going to happen for Part 2 though. Recast I guess. Awesome movie! If youre a fan of the franchise then go see it!
