Just got back to the dorm from seeing The Lego Movie and, honestly, it actually was really really good! I mean I heard that it was great and all, but I hadnt really believed it till tonight. It was fun, it was funny, it was clever, it had a good story, it was great. And the animation, or should I say, Legomation, is absolutely spectacular! It might take a minute or two to get used to it, but once you do, its awesome to see! The cast is also amazing as well. Everyone was great, Chris Pratt as the funny hero Emmet, Will Ferrell as the evil Lord Business, Elizabeth Banks as the tough as nails Wyldstyle, Morgan Freeman as the wise and funny Vitruvius (who I thought might as well be Gandalf until I realized Gandalf is in fact in the movie lol), Will Arnett as the one and only Batman, Nick Offerman as the vengeful pirate Metal Beard, Alison Brie as the happy Uni-Kitty, Charlie Day as the crazy astronaut Benny, and Liam Neeson as Bad Cop/Good Cop! And lord above the cameos! From Superman to Abraham Lincoln to Han Solo to Shaq, seeing them all on screen in Lego form was cool as anything! In short, The Lego Movie is a hoot from start to finish and, even though its only February and Im sure to see a couple more movies in the next week or so, I can definitely agree that this is the best movie to come out this year! I am both surprised and happy to say that on my personal scale, I give The Lego Movie an A+ (Absolutely Perfect!)!!!
