Just got done with my 1st half marathon! Im am so glad that its over! So thankful for my parents who took me and my kids there @ 7:30 this morning and then cheered me on at many intersections, which was AWESOME! The run was a little harder than I expected, not sure if I started to fast or if it was just the heat and sun that made the end so hard. But I am satisfied with how I did. I did it in 2 hours and 2 minutes. Which is faster than my goal! I was also so happy so see my cousin Beth Davelaar there which it was also her first 1/2 and we ran the first 5-6 miles together. And I appreciated Adam taking time out of his busy schedule to watch the end in Orange City. And for my sister Jenn who found someone to cover for her at work for awhile so she could cheer me on. It was all APPRECIATED thanks everyone it meant a lot! Now I am taking a week off of running before gearing up for the next 1/2 marathon with Kaitlyn Vander Schaaf in St. Paul, MN
