Just got first word from diver Matt Hatley, who stayed in Hatteras village for the blow. Lions Paw came thru just fine. She will need a very good bath, but otherwise no damage visible. It is still blowing 30 from the west and there still might be a little rain to come but for Hatteras the worst is over. The rebound tide surge only 2.5 ft so far, Hatteras got very lucky. Northern beaches still have hours of high winds and rain still to go. Power went out last night and still down, but cells worked. Last night sitting thru the storm was best described as unnerving...
