Just got home after a couple of days with my parents – and other family members – down in Nottinghamshire and Cheshire. Very pleasant. The kids stayed at home and appear to have hardly eaten while I have been away. The mysterious act of taking food from the freezer and putting it into the microwave was apparently beyond them. This does not bode well for when I am in France for eight days on the trot, but I am sure they will work it out or my kids will be shadows of their former selves by the time I return.... They did remember to feed the cat, however, and they didn’t kill each other. These are good signs. I am now getting sooooo excited about my forthcoming holiday - my first holiday without the kids in 20 years. Just me, the company of lovely, kind, like-minded fellow authors, the vino and the sunshine of Provence....bring it on. :)
