Just got home from Atlanta. We have a transplant coordinator who is gonna be working on getting all the test done-gonna do as many as we can here at our local doctors. Got to have another bone marrow biopsy to see just where we are. Blood work is looking good. Got to get all dental work done so that there is no risk of infection there. Looking at maybe the end of October or first of November. Will have to make at least three more trips before. When it is done, he will have to stay in Atlanta for a month-two weeks in hospital and two weeks in a halfway house on or very near the center to make sure that he is strong enough to come home. When he comes home, I will have to take off at least a week-the doctor does not want him alone for a while in case he should get an infection or something and not be able to call me or 911.
