Just got home from Dr Rosens office (3pm EST) and he is going to install the little tube/port in Danielles brain on Tuesday afternoon, and she may get her first chemo while shes in the hospital overnight. We will spend the night in ICU, which I specifically requested because we know just about everyone on the staff and they all love Danielle and she will be in good hands. Its a 30-min procedure and the neuro-oncologist, Dr Chowdhary, will handle chemo from there on out. Some of you asked about Dr Nick, but he is out of town and Dr Rosen doesnt want to wait and neither do we. Danielles oncologist, Dr Grow, says either is fine (they are the only two in town) so thats good enough for us. I am going now to get a snack, because now that some of the pressure is off, I realize Im starving.
