Just got home from FEAR FACTORY and KOBRA AND THE LOTUS at LVCS. It was pretty good. Sound was excellent-vey crisp and succinct. KOBRA AND THE LOTUS played a lengthy set. Female singer is trained to sing in an operetic fashion and she had a great voice. Didnt really demonstrate much of a range, but her vocals were set to a power chord guiter driven band. FEAR FACTORY came on and started with newer material, then finished with older stuff. Played about 80 minutes and all but one mainstream song was played. I hope LVCS continues to bring metal shows. A decent amount of people there, but it wasnt full like it should have been. FF said HATE ETERNAL had to drop off while in Florida. I bet it was deemed financially unsound to travel cross country for 5 or 6 shows only-so they stayed behind on the final leg of tour. Sucks.
