Just got home from a GREAT 4 days in Michigan with Lonesome Will Mullins.......played 4 sets in Romulus, MI Thursday night, and got to meet my mandolin hero Nolan Faulkner, got to meet one of my best friends Craig Pryce and his wonderful mom Denise, and my buddy Alvie Duty Jr.......Friday and Saturday we played 4 sets at the Salt River BG Festival in Oil City, MI to a VERY enthusiastic crowd, got 7 encores and they bumped us up to be the closing band at the end of the festival....we broke 10 strings total and I had blood running out of my fingertips :)......I even got to slap the bass while Adam Burrows sawed the FIRE out of his fiddle, and Jake Burrows keeps on amazing me.......I love Lonesome Will, Adam, and Jake like they were my brothers......and to top it all off, I got to spend 3 days with some family that I hadnt seen in forever, Marcie Pettigrew and her daughter Baylie, aunt Brenda and my favorite uncle Carl!.......Life is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
