Just got home from doing an ice bucket event for ALS and had the pleasure of seeing Ann Morrison! We decided to team up and pour ice water on each other. What are friends for? I am going to the gym EARLY tomorrow so I wanted to go ahead and share with you a bit of what well be discussing in your meeting Friday evening and Saturday. Successful weight loss isn’t so much about willpower as it is about Planning. Success happens when we set up our lives in ways to make the healthy choice the easiest and most appealing choice! This week we’re taking a deeper look at the forces driving our decision making and we’ll have the chance to “Create Smart Spaces” because we know that the Spaces we spend our time in can help us stay on Plan…or not! We’re working on building strong foundations by taking a few minutes each day to Plan for tomorrow’s successes, and we’re being very deliberate about triggering new Routines. But, even with all our good Planning, we’re bound to hit a few bumps along the way and one powerful maker or breaker is the Spaces that we find ourselves in! Spaces are important, and managing them can help us stay on Plan. And, since Spaces trigger Routines, we need to be aware of what potential hazards lay in the Spaces we frequent. Where are your most challenging Spaces? What would you like to have happen in those hazardous zones from now on? How can you change your Space to support our monthly Routine: Know How You’re Going to Be Active Tomorrow? Do you need to put your pantry on Plan? Do your co-workers keep candy jars? Are you gullible to gimmicks at the grocery? Get tips for setting up your SPACES on eTools. Let’s brainstorm ways to remake our most challenging Spaces into Plan-perfect paradises! Finally, this is Ace Your Summer Challenge week 11 – if you’ve attended 10 weeks of meetings this summer you’ve earned some bling! Plus the sales continue: Crunchy Snacks $3.95; Candies $1.50! If you didn’t get an ACTIVE LINK last week, it is still SO worth it –be sure to pick one up, and KNOW your APPV’s!
