Just got this message from a friend. Am not a childrens librarian but thought someone might have an idea: belief in santa at stake: librarian needed! I kid you not. A friends daughter has asked Santa for a book she read last year. She does not know name or author but says santa will know - ugh! Shes 9ish so testing the belief is perhaps whats going on here. The poor parents tried the local library and got no help, they asked her teachers...and all they know is that it was a book about a girl whose dad is in a coma and she goes to live with her grandmother on a reservation and the grandmother helps her be less sad. Ring any bells? Is there a librarian hall of justice where I can alert the literary superfriends to this pressing case?
