Just got word our electric bills are going up ;( because of the Hurricanes (Sandy in particular) I think CLand P (Conn. Light and Power) has some nerve!! I called them weeks before telling them nobody has trimmed back the trees over the lines and transformers! I really feel it is there fault! They werent doing their job! They dont want us to do it! Yet we pay for them to do it, its included in the bill! Now they want us to pay? And I heard ALL kinds of stories the workers were just standing around drinking coffee prior to the storm(some people actually videotaped them goofing off!) I didnt have power for weeks after, and in the first few days lost all of my refrigerated and frozen food! (Hundreds of $ worth ) and all the clams I had stored for the coming months, I just gave away rather than let them go to waste , overall I probably lost $500 or so , and now they want me to pay them???? Im one of the lucky ones, too! Imagine how other feel after losing their homes!!! There oughta be a law against this!
