Just had a conversation with a nice man from chester and cheshire west regarding our garden waste bin. The bin was full, so we put some more waste in two large cardboard boxes, not heavy, the operatives refused to take them. After they had emptied the bin I askek could I put the waste in the green bin and it be re-emptied, the reply was NO COS ITS ON CAMERA AT THE BACK. So I telephoned our local council only to be told I can have another bin for £40.00 a year extra or take it to the tip. I explained that the bins are too small and that due to the size they fill up quickly, well just take it to the tip he said. I explained that we have moved from South Wales and there we could have two garden waste bins, he then gave me a lesson in geography and said JUST SO YOU KNOW YOU ARE NOW LIVING IN ANOTHER AREA NOW, THIS IS CHESHIRE AND NOT SOUTH WALES. We have just moved back to Chester having had 5 years away and somthings never change, poors service and jobsworths at the council. Can we launch a petition for more free garden waste bins. Lol
