Just had a funny memory. I was checking on my tree that I thought for sure was going to destroy my porch all night last night. It was rocking and rolling in the wind. Its like 2 or 3 in the morning. And Im standing in my yard watching this tree bang against my roof, debating whether to try and tie a rope on it myself and pull it down so that I knew what the damage was and get it over with. And this raccoon. This old, grey raccoon with like old man whiskers and bandit eyes and creepy child-like hands, is walking across my driveway like it aint no thing. The wind is howling. The rain is pounding down. And hes just walking right at me--I mean right at me. And it gets all the way to like 5-6 feet away and it stops and stands up on its hind legs like it wants to fight me. Little paws up and fire in his eyes. And Im looking up at this tree wondering if its going to come down on both of us and destroy all the windows in my porch, and I said out loud, I was like Are you kidding me right now? and he pulls out a pair of, I swear, little red Everlast boxing gloves and goes lets do this. Ok, I got carried away and made the last part up, but everything else is true. The true story is I said Are you kidding me right now? and he ran away towards the neighbors.
