Just had a horrid experience with a ER vet. My vet is a busy lady and didnt want her to have to rush to my aid so I took my little puking every few minute crested to a er vet. Her gums a greyish pale, very lethargic, body temp below normal. So a vet tech looks at her , weighs her ,listens to heart, and listens to why I am concerned. Next minute the vet walks through doesnt even touch my dog hands me 3 meds , and says since your daughter is sneaking her food she will need these..... Ok my daughter gave her a piece of bread AFTER she was sick. Demanded she actually check my dog, so she did for about 30 seconds said oh she is very nasuas.. I excepted only the Cernia shot, told her I would talk with my vet if she kept this up. Other meds were nothing she really needed just to pump up bill to almost 200 for not even touching her..... Upon checking out I see a sign up front that read " If you file a malpractice suit against us, you will pay our defense fee" Really wish I would have seen that first. Then the vet told the tech to make sure she wrote I declined the meds so when something bad happens to my dog it wont be their fault. So I know where I will never tell anyone to go after hours. Rude , incompationate , and greedy woman, shame on the All Hours vet .
