Just had a wonderful meeting with residents of Lower Mt. Bethel Twsp. We had contacted their township Board this winter about providing TNR services and they couldnt have been more receptive. We will be working with the Eastern Pa. Animal Alliance to TNR community cats. The township is allowing us to use the township building for pre and post op. This is a truly enlightened group of people. No one talked about removal - just how can we keep them from breeding. If only municipal officials everywhere were as humane and forward thinking as these folks are, we could do great things. We are also involved in TNR in Allentown - not an enlightened government by any means, but we are doing it anyway. 10 kitties were done last week at an inner city site and we are also working on an East Allentown site where a sweet 75 year old lady is feeding about 14 in her yard. She had contacted an animal removal person who was going to charge her $50.00 per cat to take them to a farm. I explained that there is no farm just a painful death at the hands of these creeps. We are charging her nothing. She said, These are my babies. I cant touch them, but I love them. 3 done, 11 to go. We are determined to keeep up with our TNR and spay/neuter work, but funds are very low right now. if you can contribute to this work, please help. You can donate through PayPal at nokilllv.org or by sending a check to NKLV PO Box 4272 Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. Our third Operation Catsnip of the year will be held tomorrow at Lehigh Valley Animal Hospital Allentown. We want to thank the wonderful staff for volunteering their time. Next Catsnip is May 2 at CHAAR on Airport Rd. with the Eastern Pa. Animal Alliance. Preregistration is necessary. Contact us at nokill.lehighvalley@gmail.
