Just had one of the most fun days Ive had in a long time at The Annual Olympics hosted by Inner Athlete and Body Mechanix. Yes, our gym Inner Athlete represented well and walked away with lots of medals. Team Rice Stats: Amber Dawn Rice 1st Womens pushups 1st Womens 100m dash 3rd Womens Obstacle Course Me 1st Mens Pushups 1st Mens 100m Dash 1st 4x100yd Tire Drag Relay 1st 4x100m Relay 2nd Mens 200m Dash My highlight of the day happened to be an event I dont have on Camera which was the 4x100 Tire Drag Relay. There were 3 teams going and out first leg Denise was running hard holding onto to 2nd place as she was headed to Kyler. Kyler took off so fast that when the slack in the rope tightened up the tire started bouncing side to side. Halfway down the field the tire came off the rope and for a second our team seemed to have been counted out, but without hesitation Kyler ran back to pick up the tire and continued running his leg. The other teams had a smooth exchange and were already headed down field by time our 3rd leg Devin Williams-Trainer was able to run with a fresh tire hooked on his back. Determined to close distance, Devin ran with everything he had towards me and his efforts prevailed. By time he handed the tire rope to me we were back in 2nd Place and right on the heels of the team in1st. My job as the anchor is to bring it home, and because of the efforts of my teammates I was able to cross the finishline in 1st place. Devin and I instantly contributed our win to Kylers never say die attitude because when he chose to not to give up he motivated us to push our bodies pass the limit to make the best comeback of the day. So my highlight of the day is about how the humble young Kyler became the MVP
