Just had tears brought to my eyes while watching Teach on CBS. I miss being a teacher and having an effect on many teenagers. I know some are on here and will see this and I thank you for letting be important if only for a little while in your lives. I miss being in a room and helping others to reach what they want and then hearing later what they were able to do. I should have tried harder to stay in a classroom so that I could keep that feeling going. Watching the show I could see myself as parts of all four of the teachers. I have my vests and sweaters that I would wear, including the one given as a gift, and they do not come out of the closet much anymore but they are there if the chance come up. I still have lesson plans, thought they would have to be changed a lot to teach now. I have many memories, that now and then, on here or in person get a re-awake and remember the good times. I still have scripts and props from plays I was a part of. I also know the battles that I fought to get what I thought was right for the students. The school I was at is no more and I am sad that it is now gone but I do have memories that will be with me forever. I also remember the good teachers I had and some I did go back and say thank you and others I hope they knew how much I did appreciate them and what they did. Those that can thank your teachers and let them know how you are doing and how they may have helped you get to where you are. Teachers know that you affect many for many years and that you are very important for all to learn from and to know.
