Just had the front doors repainted--they were a bit darker before, almost an Aqua. The painters while sanding found a Turquoise underneath with a lot of Green in it, which we figured was from the sixties. Under that, a pale Yellow and under that White, which they said was probably the original primer. Under the Black stripes, they found another layer of Black, then a Medium Brown, and under that a metallic Gold. So, the doors were originally pale Yellow with metallic Gold stripes. The rest of the paint on the house didnt look bad before, but will probably get attention a bit quicker now. The floor in the entry foyer is Black terrazzo marble, and the carpeting in the living room and formal dining room is turquoise, very close to the color on the doors.
