Just had the hugest scare with Leroy. He couldnt get up. Like a horse that was lame, he kept trying to get up as he lay sideways. but, he kept falling back down never getting a grip to get to the up position. My ankle is sprained. I couldnt get to him immediately. Sucked up thru the pain. When I got to him, I massaged him and had him relax. When ready, I pulled him up, his legs and rear completely gave out. legs were splaying bilaterally. Ive seen this before. Neurological damage. I thought oh my God. No, Im not ready to let him go. Im not ready to lose him. I spoke the name of Jesus over him. Massaged him more. Walked back to bed to turn off alarm. In my head, I was calculating when vet clinic opens, who can I call for help to lift him, and, worse, I must say goodbye to one of my treasures today. My heart was in the pit of my stomach. That dreaded feeling of loss surrounded my every move and thought. Determined, I prayed again in His name. Turned around and Leroy got up. True story. Just happened. Thank you, God, for the intervention! Feeling stunned and grateful simultaneously.
