Just had to comment that Ted Williams displays an extreme bias - TopicsExpress

Just had to comment that Ted Williams displays an extreme bias toward the wild horses in the wild and has for years. He seems totally blind to all the many justifications for the horses in the wild in North America, such as their ancient and long standing origin and evolution here and the fact that as non-ruminant, post gastric digesters, they fill a very important vacant ecological niche that actually helps the ruminant grazers and in many ways enhances the ecosystem: building humus in soils, dispersing many viable seeds from a greater variety of species, reducing flammable fuel load, and in many other ways bolstering the ecosystem. I suggest you check out my book. I am a professional wildlife ecologist. The link is amazon/Wild-Horse-Conspiracy-Craig-Downer/dp/1461068983 or as an eBook at amazon/dp/B009XJ64P4. I strove to make the book as well rounded as possible and it covers the evolution as well as the ecology of the wild horses, my personal experiences with the herds and with both the enemies and the friends of the wild horses. It presents a solution to the present callous and cruel policies: Reserve Design, and contains a Higher Thoughts chapter and many fine pictures of these so deserving returned N. Am. natives.
