Just had to share and this is a long story but Im a proud momma. This is a pic of my then 15yr old daughter last year on the first day of rifle. I got up about 7 and looked out the window into our backyard and saw this guy in the pasture. Woke her up to see if she wanted to take a shot at him and she moaned and rolled over under the covers like a good teenage girl on a Saturday morning. A few minutes later here she comes dressed in her camo with the .243 in hand. Husband was not at home at the time and Im a vet tech and neither of us are hunters but we took the hunter safety course as a family because I didnt want to send my daughter out into the woods without one of us. So here we go, us two women who have never hunted before practically in our pajamas, to try this. First position wasnt any good, second position wasnt any good, third position was her resting the rifle on the spare tire on the back of the camper with a clear shot. This deer stayed in the exact same spot for the 15 minutes it took us to get our act together. She took her shot, he ran about 75 feet and fell. She landed that bullet right above his heart and he was gone by the time we got to him. AMAZING! Her birthday was last week and now we have a Diamond Infinite Edge all set to go for bow season. Cant wait to see what she does!
